As
for my working life, I actually started out as a custom jewelry
designer in Seattle, and then moved on into the fashion industry.
After study at the Oregon School of Arts and Crafts, in Portland
Oregon, in 1993 I moved to England. I then studied at the Winchester
School of Art and finished up in 2002 with a degree in Architectural
Glass from Swansea Institute.
I
appreciate the well crafted and lasting arts as well as those which may offer just a moments insight or delight.
For
me the most successful design processes often occur when I can
become intimately involved with my materials in the workshop -
rather than just on the drawing board. I like to keep ongoing
experiments and collaborations rolling along as well as client
lead projects.
It's
always interesting to me to hear from people who may have some
of my work, or maybe have just seen it somewhere, with their thoughts
about it or where it's traveled to, etc. For that matter it's
just good to connect with people as time speeds by.
